Discover the joy of Lindy Hop dancing – try it out on March 20th!

Have you ever watched someone dance with a huge smile and wondered what makes it so much fun?

The answer might be Lindy Hop – a joyful, energetic and social partner dance that has its roots in the swing and jazz music from the 1930s and 40s.

Now is your chance to try it out!  

Join Our Lindy Hop Crash Course on Friday, March 20th

During our dance festival Swingin' Spring, West Coast Jitterbugs invites you to a beginners-friendly crash course in Lindy Hop at Scandic Central.

Come alone, bring a friend or show-up with a whole group – no prior experience is needed – just curiosity and a desire to have fun! We rotate dance partners throughout the class so that everyone gets a chance to dance with everyone.

Schedule

18.00: Check-in, you can hang up your outerwear and get settled
19.00-20.30: Lindy Hop crash course – learn the basics in a relaxed and fun environment
20.45: Social dance begins with DJ music
21.00: The big band takes the stage
22.15: Performances

What do I need to bring?

• Comfortable clothes that you can move in 
• Shoes with clean soles (outdoor shoes with black soles are not allowed on the dance floor)
• Curiosity and good mood!

Ticket
Price 250 SEK. The price includes wardrobe, lesson and a full evening experience in the worlds of Lindy Hop. (This ticket is aimed at beginners, if you are a dancer you can find your ticket at Swinginspring.se)

Food and drink
Scandic Central has both a Bar and a Restaurant
